General Motors will fire 5 thousand employees

Bloomberg reports that General Motors will cut 5,000 jobs as part of cost-cutting measures. 

The company will offer compensation to employees in case of voluntary termination. According to the company's CFO Paul Jacobson, the cuts will affect 6% of the staff. As a result, 1 billion dollars will be saved.
