"We highly appreciate and welcome the strategic partnership between the President of Azerbaijan and the EU in the field of energy security," US Assistant Secretary of Commerce for World Markets, General Director of the Foreign Trade Service Arun Venkataraman said in a briefing. "Azerbaijan is playing a historical role in this situation; we welcome the leadership of Azerbaijan," he said.
