"The situation in Nagorno-Karabakh is fraught with serious destabilization," Secretary General of the CSTO

CSTO General Secretary Imangali Tasmagambetov stated that the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh remains tense, creating a risk of destabilization in the CSTO countries.
"The tension in the Caucasus region is maintained due to many years of contradictions between Armenia and Azerbaijan. Due to the risks associated with the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh and the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, the situation is fraught with serious destabilization," Tasmagambetov said at the extended session of the CSTO Secretariat and Joint Headquarters leadership on Friday.
He emphasized that the CSTO constantly works to improve the mechanism for dealing with existing and emerging challenges and threats.
