The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan responded to the EU observation mission
Aykhan Hajizada, the head of the press service of the MFA of Azerbaijan, commented on the statement of the head of the EU civilian mission in Armenia, Markus Ritter, that "Azerbaijan is preparing to attack Armenia in the spring of 2023."
"We strongly condemn that the head of the EU civilian mission, based on the false and defamatory statements of the Armenian side, expressed the opinion that Azerbaijan is allegedly preparing for an attack and presents the main task of the EU mission to protect Armenia from Azerbaijan. We have repeatedly emphasized the need to prevent abuses of this mission aimed at disrupting the normalization of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia. The EU mission should not be subjected to false and defamatory accusations and should act according to its mandate," Hajizada added.
