After joint military exercises with the Korean Navy in the southern waters of the peninsula, the Nimitz nuclear aircraft carrier of the US Navy arrived in the port city of Busan, South Korea. The Yonhap news agency reported this on Tuesday.
The carrier has about 70 combat aircraft and helicopters; it is the flagship of the 11th carrier strike group. "The ship's arrival could be a warning to North Korea from Washington to refrain from launching missiles," Yonhap reported.
