The EU wants to block the import of Russian liquefied gas without new sanctions

"The European Union can create a mechanism by which member states can ban the supply of Russian liquefied natural gas (LNG) without imposing new sanctions," writes Bloomberg, citing a document in its possession.

According to the document, EU energy ministers are ready to approve a proposal allowing member states to temporarily ban Russian exporters from pre-booking infrastructure capacity needed for supplies. The event's initiators are Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, and Poland.
