The White House considers Putin's accusations baseless

At a briefing in Washington, US National Security Council Strategic Communications Coordinator John Kirby stated that Russia's claims regarding Britain's plans to transfer depleted uranium ammunition to Ukraine are "baseless." He also denied Russian President Vladimir Putin's words that it was about weapons with a "nuclear component."

According to him, this is a common type of ammunition used partly because of its armor-piercing properties. Kirby advised Russia to withdraw the tanks from Ukraine if it is so concerned about the health of the tankers.
