TASS agency reports that Anthony Blinken said during the Senate Foreign Relations Committee hearing that there is a positive possibility of concluding the peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
"Without wanting to exaggerate, there is a positive possibility of completing the peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan. We worked on the text with leaders and foreign ministers. We are trying to influence Azerbaijan so that the Lachin Corridor is opened again. I also spoke with the president of Azerbaijan this week.
We do not impose anything on Armenia but only respond to its desire to support the end of this 30-year-old conflict.
The US supports the settlement of relations between Yerevan and Baku, in which the rights and security of the ethnic Armenians of Nagorno-Karabakh should also be addressed," said US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken.
