France considers not only TikTok a threat, but also Instagram and WhatsApp

Lawmakers of the French Parliament refused to recognize only the Chinese TikTok as a threat to national security. They want to include American social networks in that list as well.

This week, members of the French National Assembly appealed to fellow MPs, urging them to limit the use of social media apps and messaging services. These included China's TikTok and America's Snap, Meta's WhatsApp and Instagram, and Telegram, founded by Russian brothers, and Signal.
