"Unfortunately, there is almost no point in the tripartite declaration that Azerbaijan has not violated," Mirzoyan to Lavrov

The extended meeting of the Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and the Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan began in Moscow.

Ararat Mirzoyan stated in his opening speech, "The situation in our region is getting more inflamed due to the aggressive rhetoric of Azerbaijan and the ongoing military provocations towards NK and RA. They also violate the tripartite declaration, which makes it clear that Azerbaijan is trying to subject Nagorno-Karabakh to ethnic cleansing.

...Unfortunately, there is almost no point in the tripartite statement that Azerbaijan has not violated: systematic violation of the ceasefire regime, occupation of RA territory, illegal blockade of the Lachin Corridor, the continued detention of Armenian prisoners of war, disruption of the unblocking of regional communications, issues of repatriation of Armenian residents. With its continuous provocations, Azerbaijan undermines the preservation of peace and security in the region. In this context, the active steps of RA's allies and partners are essential to prevent Azerbaijan from fulfilling its obligations and violating international law norms through force or the threat of power."
