"The Armenians of Karabakh should have the same rights as the Serbs of Kosovo and the Ukrainians of Donbas," Lavrov (VIDEO)
The RA and RF Foreign Ministers Ararat Mirzoyan and Sergey Lavrov press conference is underway in Moscow. Lavrov, in particular, stated, "We support RA Prime Minister Pashinyan's position on security guarantees and rights between Baku and NK Armenians. There were such examples in the Minsk agreements regarding the residents of Eastern Ukraine. These rights include the right to a native language, education, living and working in that language, preserving culture, preserving religion, having local self-government, and having special economic and commercial ties with their compatriots.
In the case of Donbas, it was Russia. Approximately, such rights were provided in the agreement signed between Belgrade and Pristina 10 years ago, in the agreement on establishing "Kosovo Serbian local self-government bodies." I think the people of Karabakh need a package of approximately such rights."
