The US administration will not agree to a call for a ceasefire in Ukraine if it happens after a meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping.

John Kirby, the strategic communications coordinator of the White House National Security Council, announced this. According to him, the truce can give the Russian leadership more time to prepare for a new attack.
