US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan met with Dr. Ibrahim Kalin, Spokesman, and Chief Advisor to the President of Turkey. According to a statement from the White House, Sullivan reiterated condolences for the tragic loss of life caused by the earthquakes in Turkey and US support for the Turkish people.
"They also discussed the ongoing peace negotiations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, as well as issues related to bilateral cooperation in the field of defense," the message states.
