"The US supports the extension and expansion of the grain deal," Price

The US administration does not agree that the exceptions to the Western sanctions against Russia, which refer to exporting food and fertilizers from the Russian Federation, do not work.

The representative of the State Department emphasized that the US favors the "extension and expansion" of this initiative. "We are now in a critical phase of those negotiations," State Department spokesman Ned Price said.

Price did not comment on reports that Russia is not opposed to extending the initiative after it expires on March 18, but only for 60 days.
