The Iranian Tasnim agency reported that Iran and Saudi Arabia have agreed to restore diplomatic relations. The reopening of embassies will take place within the next two months.
Relations between the two countries were broken in 2016 when a Shiite cleric was executed in Saudi Arabia, followed by an attack on the Saudi embassy in Tehran.
