Iran and Turkey closely cooperate in the fight against manifestations of terrorism. We realize that Turkey's security is also Iran's security, announced Iran's Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian during a joint press conference with Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu in Ankara.
"Cooperation in the security field, including the fight against terrorism, has been established between our countries. Iran considers the issue of self-defense as an internationally recognized right of states. It does not matter where the threat of terrorism comes from. Terrorists cannot be divided into good or bad. Terrorism is always bad," he said.
Referring to the situation in the Caucasus, the Iranian Foreign Minister considered "the presence of the Zionist regime" as one of the causes of the crisis.
He said, "We consider the presence of the Zionist regime in the region as a serious threat to peace and stability. Wherever the Zionists step, they always bring instability and crises with them. Iran warns everyone to be careful regarding the actions of the Israeli Zionist regime. The Zionist regime cannot be allowed to spread influence over this region."
