Tata Motors requested 602 million dollars from London to create a battery factory

On Wednesday, the Financial Times newspaper reported that Indian industrial conglomerate Tata Motors, the owner of the Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) car concern, has requested the British government to allocate 500 million pounds ($602 million) to construct a storage battery factory.

According to the newspaper, the holding has a choice between the platforms in the southwest of England or Spain. It is hoped that London will decide on financial support in the coming weeks. "The outcome of the negotiations depends on agreeing on the final amount of subsidies," an anonymous British official told the newspaper.
