Medvedev on the future existence of Russia

Dmitry Medvedev, the deputy head of the Council of the Russian Federation, wrote in his article that "if the question of the existence of Russia itself seriously arises, it will be decided not on the Ukrainian front, but along with the question of the future existence of the entire human civilization."

"There should be no ambiguities here," he wrote, adding, "We don't need a world without Russia."

He says, "The quiet strength of our great country and the reputation of its partners is the key to preserving the future for our entire world. The West has illusions that they will be able to bury Russia for themselves without problems, but like the USSR, it will not work."
