China offers peace plan in Ukraine crisis

"Wang Yi, a member of the Politburo of the Communist Party of China, shared with the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine the key points of the Chinese peace plan to resolve the Ukrainian crisis," Ukrainian Foreign Minister Kuleba said.

Kyiv intends to study this program and draw conclusions.

Earlier, citing its sources, Bloomberg reported that the Chinese program contains a clause to stop the supply of weapons to Ukraine, raising concerns in the US and Europe.

"Although China's peace proposal has little chance of being accepted at the United Nations, US allies are worried that it could resonate in developing countries and compete with Western resolutions," notes Bloomberg.

Wang Yi's meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov is expected tomorrow.
