US Ambassador Lynn Tracy was summoned to the Russian Foreign Ministry and handed over a protest note regarding Kyiv's expansion of US involvement in military operations.
"Washington should take steps that imply the withdrawal of military personnel and equipment, as well as the cessation of hostile anti-Russian activity," the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
"In this regard, the ambassador was told about the ineffectiveness of the current aggressive course of the USA to deepen the confrontation with Russia in all directions. It was noted that to defuse the situation, Washington should take steps that involve the withdrawal of American and NATO troops and equipment, as well as the cessation of hostile anti-Russian activity.
The Russian side also emphasized that the United States should explain the explosions of the Nord Stream-1 and Nord Stream-2 gas pipelines and not interfere with the objective investigation to identify the culprits. This is stated in the message of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
