The meeting was constructive, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev stated in a conversation with journalists after the tripartite meeting.
"The peace agreement should be based on international norms and principles, and any provision regarding Karabakh is unacceptable there," Aliyev stated.
He noted that they received Armenia's response to their proposals three days ago, "At first glance, there is progress in Armenia's position, but we do not consider this enough."
Aliyev also informed that they proposed installing a checkpoint on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border to Armenia, "If we are talking about delimitation, the checkpoints should be placed on both sides of the Zangezur corridor and between Lachin and Armenia."
