France and China have decided to jointly achieve peace in Ukraine

France and China intend to make joint efforts to achieve peace in Ukraine. As reported by the press service of the Elysée Palace on February 15, French President Emmanuel Macron and Politburo member Wang Yi, head of the office of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Communist Party of China, agreed in Paris.

Both officials expressed their countries' commitment to "the common goal of achieving peace in compliance with the norms of international law." At the same time, Macron hoped that Beijing could influence Moscow so that the latter would agree to start peace negotiations.
