The President of Kazakhstan, Kasim-Jomart Tokayev, deprived former President Nursultan Nazarbayev of his special status. This was reported to the "KazTag" agency.
Tokayev signed the law repealing the law on the first president of Kazakhstan.
As a result, on January 13, the Parliament of Kazakhstan approved the decision to deprive Nazarbayev of his special status. As MP Yerlan Sairov explained later, Nazarbaev had privileges different from typical ordinary citizens.
