A massive brawl occurred between Russian and Ukrainian football players in the Turkish Royal Seginus hotel. The players of both teams live there.
According to preliminary data, everything started on the evening of February 13. Several representatives of the Ukrainian Minay club approached the head of Shinnik of Yaroslavl and demanded he sings the Ukrainian national anthem. The latter suggested the Ukrainians go out on the street and "meet tête-à-tête," but the hotel employees intervened in the conflict, and it was extinguished.
After some time, several players of the Ukrainian club appeared in the same elevator with the player of Shinnik and beat him. When the elevator reached the floor, a group of football players from Yaroslavl was standing there, and a massive brawl broke out between the Russian and Ukrainian players. Police officers and an ambulance had to be called to the hotel. One-time clashes between football players and team representatives have occurred until now. Two police officers and additional security forces are permanently on duty at the hotel.
