Russian State Duma Chairman Vyacheslav Volodin, during a meeting with his Azerbaijani counterpart Zahiba Gafarova, warned today about attempts to involve European structures, particularly the European Parliament and PACE, in the resolution of the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh.
"Let's start from the fact that a decision was adopted at the level of Azerbaijan, Armenia, and Russia leaders. We will be guided by this and will do everything to implement these agreements. And those who make statements in favor of European institutions can lose the country," the official website of the State Duma quotes Volodin as saying.
According to the speaker of the Duma, the involvement of the PACE and the European Parliament in resolving the Karabakh issue "will worsen the situation, create new problems, and if they do this, they should be responsible for the consequences."
