How Russia's War in Ukraine Changed the World in a year? What happens next? A few days before the opening of the Munich Security Conference, the organizers of the leading Western forum in this field published a new report today.
According to the opinion polls conducted in November 2022, the small subsection is dedicated to Ukraine. The Munich conference, for the first time, included Ukraine in the list of countries whose citizens are asked questions to calculate the recently developed annual Munich Security Index.
Surveys conducted in Ukraine have shown that the country will not surrender under any circumstances, even if Russia uses nuclear weapons, which is regularly hinted at by Moscow. 95% of Ukraine's respondents said they would not stop fighting if their cities continued to be shelled.
In the case of Russia's use of tactical nuclear weapons on the battlefield or against Ukrainian cities, the share of respondents drops to only 89%, and to 91% in the case of detonating a bomb on the Black Sea.
