British military intelligence writes in its daily summary that since February 7, Russian forces have achieved tactical success in two key areas.
In the northern suburbs of the Bakhmut, Donetsk region, forces of the Wagner group advanced 2-3 km to the west, controlling the area near the main M-3 highway leading to the city.
Russian troops are increasingly dominating the northern reaches of Bakhmut.
To the south, the Russian units bypassed the western outskirts of the city of Ugledar, where they resumed the attack at the end of January.
However, Russian units suffered hefty losses in the Ugledar region, as inexperienced crews were involved in the attack.
One failed attack attempt resulted in Russian troops fleeing, leaving three dozen intact armored vehicles behind.
