Poland increases the number of troops and tanks

The Polish armed forces should have six divisions (currently, there are 4) and 300,000 soldiers. Polish Minister of Defense Mariusz Blaszczak informed them about this.

"The geopolitical situation is changing rapidly, and the army must promptly respond to new challenges. In 2022, Poland signed an agreement to buy 980 tanks from South Korea. In the first phase, 120 K2 tanks will be delivered.

They should all arrive in Poland by 2025 with logistics and training packages. The second phase of the deal with the South Korean partners provides for the assembly of the remaining equipment on Polish territory. After 2026, 800 K2 tanks should be produced in Poznan."

In addition, Poland is going to buy 250 Abrams tanks from the USA.
