Blinken will meet Xi Jinping during his visit to China

The Financial Times reported that the  US Secretary of State, Anthony Blinken, plans to meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping during his visit to China. 

The source informs that Blinken will be the first US Secretary of State to meet with the Chinese President in the last five years. The State Department refused to comment on these messages, the newspaper notes. The Chinese Embassy in Washington did not respond to a request for comment.

According to the Financial Times, Blinken will also have meetings with Wang Yi, head of the office of the Foreign Affairs Commission of the Communist Party of China, member of the Politburo, and Chinese Foreign Minister Qing Gan.
