"Russia considers it logical that Iran participates in the new contacts within the framework of the normalization of relations between Turkey and Syria, on which an agreement in principle has been reached," said Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov at the press conference held after the talks with Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shukry.
Earlier, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan considered it possible for Tehran to join the negotiations for the settlement of relations between Ankara and Damascus, in which Moscow is now also participating.
