"The West incites anti-Russian sentiments in the CIS countries;" MFA of the Russian Federation

"We see the West's non-violent attempts to take advantage of the situation around Ukraine, which will artificially incite anti-Russian sentiments in the CIS countries, drive a wedge into our neighborly and mutually beneficial relations.

In the openly brazen style more and more typical of the "Westerners," they are not only putting Russia's friends and allies in front of a choice: "either with them or against us," they also want to destroy the multilateral ties that unite us.

This is nothing more than an open and brazen interference in the internal affairs of the CIS states, an attempt to manipulate public consciousness and impose foreign values and false democratic standards," the Russian Foreign Ministry said in response to journalists' questions.
