US State Department Deputy Spokesman Vedant Patel stated that the US is not in favor of the November 9, 2020, statement signed with the mediation of the Russian Federation, which led to the deployment of Russian peacekeepers. According to him, the USA is committed to supporting the peace negotiations between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
Turning to whether Russia is a supporter of peace or a disrupter, he said: "The USA is not in favor of the statement of November 9, 2020, signed with the mediation of the Russian Federation, which led to the deployment of Russian peacekeepers. Therefore, we have nothing more to say. But the conflict is fundamental to Blinken, and he remains deeply involved."
