The chairman of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe called for the opening of the Lachin Corridor

The chairman of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe calls for reopening the Lachin Corridor. Iceland's Minister of Foreign Affairs and President of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe, Þórdís Kolbrún R. Gylfadóttir, made the following statement:

"I am concerned about the increasingly uncertain humanitarian situation of the people living in Nagorno-Karabakh due to the one-month blockade of the Lachin Corridor. I call on the relevant authorities to quickly restore freedom of movement through the corridor to avoid further deterioration of the situation.

I call on all stakeholders to address their concerns through dialogue and remain committed to their efforts to contribute to this issue."
