The EU will force smartphone manufacturers to take back portable batteries

Several decisions have recently been adopted in the EU, which affect the smartphone market. The new draft document regulates some specifications of smartphones and other electronics.
Its provisions also affect electric vehicles and almost all consumer batteries of any size. The difficulty of disassembling and installing them should allow the user to replace the battery by himself. If the law is approved in its original form, electronics manufacturers will be given 3.5 years to retrofit their products.
