Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan are ready to create a gas "triple alliance" with Russia

Astana and Tashkent are ready for joint actions with Moscow to create a gas union. Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin said this in an interview with TASS.

The deputy minister noted that "there are no significant obstacles" to implementing this idea. Still, a tremendous amount of systematic work will be required at the expert level, "which is already being carried out in the competent ministries of three countries."

"As for Uzbekistan's participation in the project, Putin stated at the press conference at the end of the EAEU summit held in Bishkek on December 9 that the work on creating a possible energy alliance has already begun," concluded Galuzin.
