Today, December 26, the informal summit of the leaders of the cooperation of independent states starts in St. Petersburg. The event will last for two days. As the press service of the Kremlin reports, the meeting will take place at the initiative of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
According to CIS Executive Secretary, and Chairman of the Executive Committee Sergey Lebedev, the summit should provide an additional impetus to strengthening cooperation between the countries.
RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev will attend the CIS informal summit in St. Petersburg. The press secretary of Russian President Dmitry Peskov confirmed the information yesterday. However, he emphasized that a separate meeting between Putin, Pashinyan, and Aliyev is not planned at the summit.
