New gas deposits have been found in Cyprus

The Italian energy company Eni has announced the discovery of new gas deposits in the Zeus-1 well off the coast of Cyprus, which was drilled in block 6, 162 km from the coastline and at a depth of 2,300 m.

According to the company's statement, the block is managed by Eni Cyprus, whose 50% shareholder is TotalEnergies.

According to a preliminary estimate, the gas reserves in this reserve are 2-3 trillion m³.
