The CSTO charter is being changed, Russia will solely represent the CSTO peacekeeping mission at the UN

CSTO Secretary Stanislav Zas, summarizing the annual activities of the CSTO, referred to the results of the organization's monitoring of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border and the Yerevan forum. It was discussed during the CSTO session held in Yerevan, "I hope that after the appropriate additions, we will make a package decision on two crucial documents; we will accept statements on helping Armenia and CSTO Foreign Ministers' support for peace in the South Caucasus," Zas added.

Zas also added that a document is expected to be ratified, according to which the CSTO aims to amend the charter of its peacekeeping activities by adding the concept of "coordinating state," which will mean that the given state will be authorized to enter into direct negotiations with the UN Secretariat on the topic of peacekeeping missions.
