Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova referred to the closure of the Lachin Corridor in her weekly briefing.
"We are worried about the blocking of the Lachin corridor. It happened due to disagreements between the parties regarding the exploitation of mines. The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation and the peacekeepers are working these days actively to defuse the situation. We expect a complete restoration of transport communication shortly. I want to point out that by the tripartite agreement, the parties assumed obligations, which must be implemented. No matter where the accusations against the peacekeepers come from, they are inadmissible and ineffective. The Russian peacekeeping troops perform their tasks efficiently and are the guarantor of regional security," Zakharova stated.
