It is unacceptable to target the civilian population of Nagorno Karabakh. Ned Price

At his weekly press conference, US State Department spokesman Ned Price, responding to journalists' questions, referred to the closing of the Lachin Corridor and Armenia-Azerbaijan relations.

"I think you have seen the statement we published regarding the latest developments. We have clearly stated that the closure of the Lachine Corridor has severe humanitarian consequences and sets back the peace process. We call on the government of Azerbaijan to restore free movement through the corridor. The way forward is through negotiations.

Any breakdown in energy infrastructure could lead to a humanitarian crisis, especially during the winter months. If it is intentional, it is unacceptable to target the civilian population of Nagorno-Karabakh," Price added.
