"The idea of sending Serbian special forces to Kosovo is unacceptable, and Serbia's rhetoric towards the self-proclaimed republic does not help to ease the tension," said German Foreign Minister Annalena Burbock on her Twitter on Sunday, December 11.
Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić called on Serbs living in Kosovo and Metohija to refrain from confrontation with representatives of NATO and the EU Rule of Law Mission (EULEX).
He warned that the Kosovo Albanian forces could act as a provocation and attack the military group under the guise of protesters. Vučić also said that official Belgrade would continue to fight the issue of Kosovo and Metohija by all legal means.
Kosovo reduced tensions by postponing local elections. Recent rhetoric from Serbia did the opposite. Suggesting sending Serbian forces to Kosovo is completely unacceptable. So are the latest attacks on @EULEXKosovo. All my support goes to the EU-led dialogue @MiroslavLajcak.
