Estonia wants to stop accepting Ukrainian refugees

In a Tuesday interview with the local Russian-language Radio 4 channel, Estonian Prime Minister Kaya Kallas said that, as before, Estonia could not help the refugees from Ukraine and is seeking Finland's support in this matter so that the latter accept the refugees.

"If you look at how Russia is bombing civil and energy infrastructures and trying to make life completely impossible in Ukraine, there will likely be the next wave of refugees," Kallas said.

Earlier, the Foreign Minister of Estonia, Urmas Reinsalu, called to restore control of the internal borders of the Schengen zone, avoiding a new wave of Ukrainian refugees. Commenting on the situation, Kaya Kallas noted a lack of housing and jobs in the country, making it challenging to accept refugees.
