Referring to the data of the State Security Agency of the Russian Federation, "Izvestiya" writes that the trade between Russia and Iran in January-October 2022 exceeded the volume of trade between the countries compared to the whole of 2021. It amounted to more than 4 billion dollars.
The main reason for the increase in mutual trade is the Western sanctions against Russia and the resulting breakdown of traditional ties.
