Today, Russian President's spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters, "The Kremlin is not ready to negotiate with the United States if the condition is to leave Ukraine, but Putin is generally open to contacts."
"The preferable way to achieve our interests is the peaceful, diplomatic way," the press secretary emphasized.
According to him, "the USA still does not recognize the new territories within Russia, and this significantly complicates the search for a possible land for mutual discussion," added Peskov.
