Chargé d'affaires of France was summoned to the Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan

Chargé d'affaires of France Julien Le Lan was summoned to the Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan; they sent him a note of protest regarding the anti-Azerbaijani resolution adopted by the French National Assembly yesterday. The Azerbaijani mass media report this.

It is noted that during the meeting, his attention was drawn to the fact that the resolution adopted in the National Assembly of France, as well as the resolution adopted in the Senate on November 15, are "another provocation by France against Azerbaijan."

The Azerbaijani side noted that "this resolution, as well as several other steps of France, is an attempt to attack the normalization of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia, as well as efforts to establish peace in the region."

During the meeting, it was emphasized that the statements of the French government's representative at the resolution hearings clearly showed that "the French government is behind this resolution and that this country cannot act as a fair and neutral mediator."

The charge d'affaires of France in Azerbaijan noted that Paris supports normalizing relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia. According to Azerbaijani mass media, he added that he would convey the position of the Azerbaijani side to French officials.
