In a joint statement, the NATO foreign ministers reaffirmed the decisions taken at the Bucharest summit in 2008 regarding Georgia and Ukraine.
"We firmly adhere to the open door policy of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. We reaffirm the 2008 Bucharest Summit and all subsequent decisions regarding Georgia and Ukraine," the statement said.
At the same time, it is noted that "Given the fact that the Western Balkans and the Black Sea regions are of strategic importance for the Alliance, we welcome our meeting with the NATO partner countries, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, and Moldova."
