Turkey intends to launch the "Silk Road"

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, addressing the participants of the opening ceremony of the Aghri-Khamur-Tutak-Patnos highway in the eastern Aghri province of the country on Thursday, also spoke about the "silk road." According to Erdogan, the "silk road" connects Turkey with Central Asia and China through the Caucasus countries.

"Given the current demands, we are determined to restore the historic Silk Road." Directly through the territory of Aghri Province in eastern Anatolia, there are routes connecting Turkey with the Caucasus countries, Central Asia, and China. Thanks to the implementation of the Zangezur Corridor, the importance of Aghri Province will increase," Erdogan said.
