Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu, speaking at the meeting of foreign ministers of NATO countries in Bucharest on Tuesday, said that Russia's actions against Ukraine led to a reformation of the security architecture in Europe.
"Turkey defends the territorial integrity of Ukraine from the beginning. At the same time, our country continues to take steps to prevent the spread of military operations to other regions," said the Turkish minister.
Cavusoglu drew attention to the successful mediation efforts of Turkish diplomacy, including the grain agreement, the exchange of prisoners, and the organization of meetings between the conflicting parties.
Cavusoglu emphasized that the problem of Ukraine will not be solved only by criticism; concrete steps are needed. "We need a just peace for Ukraine. This is exactly what Turkey wants," he emphasized.
