Toivo Klaar, the EU's special representative for the crisis in the South Caucasus and Georgia, spoke on his Twitter microblog about his recent visit to Azerbaijan and the problems of the settlement of Armenian-Azerbaijani relations.
Klaar wrote, "A few thoughts after visiting Azerbaijan late last week. 1) An important commitment by the President of Azerbaijan to support the EU format 2) Many challenges remain; Armenia and Azerbaijan need restraint and strong political will to achieve a comprehensive settlement and ease tensions."
