The Bill Gates Foundation will provide 7 billion dollars to Africa

The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation has announced it will commit $7 billion to Africa over the next four years as the crisis in Ukraine reduces aid flows to the continent.

That money, which is a 40% increase over the amount spent in the previous four years, will go to programs to fight hunger, disease, poverty and gender inequality.

Nigeria, Africa's most populous country, will receive the largest share of aid.
